Branded Calling: your business name, logo and call reason on the callee's phone
Outbound calls from your US Zernio numbers can now show your business name, logo and reason for calling on the callee's phone instead of a bare number or "Spam Likely".
How it works
- Register your business once with
POST /v1/branded-calling/enterprises(US or Canadian businesses; a FEIN or the Canadian equivalent is required). - Create a caller identity with
POST /v1/branded-calling/identities: display name, logo, call reasons, the person authorizing it, and three references the carrier vetting team phones. - We review it, file it with the carrier, and the authorizer confirms a 6-digit code by email. Carrier vetting then runs on its own; track it with
GET /v1/branded-calling/identities/{id}or the newbranded_calling.identity.status_updated,branded_calling.identity.action_requiredandbranded_calling.number.status_updatedwebhooks. - Once verified, attach your US numbers with a Letter of Authorization signed in-app. Nothing changes on the call: the branding rides the STIR/SHAKEN signature, so SIP trunk and browser calls from that number carry it too.
The same flow is available in the dashboard under Numbers, Branded calling.
Where it displays: calls from US numbers to US mobiles on T-Mobile and Verizon (Samsung, Motorola and TCL phones on Android 14+, iPhone XS and newer on iOS 18.5+). Carrier-provisioned phones display most reliably; unlocked and MVNO phones may show less or nothing, and landlines never do. The carriers verify eligibility, they do not guarantee display.
Pricing: $100 per caller identity per month (the first month is charged when we file it with the carrier and is not refunded if the carrier rejects it), plus $0.10 per outbound call placed from an attached number to a US number.
