Youtube shorts related video

Feature Request

As a social media manager, using related videos in shorts is very beneficial but I have to do it all manually! A feature where we can schedule the shorts to have a related video would be gamechanging, not even sure if its possible as there aren’t any other schedulers that offer this!

    We are not going to be able to build this: the Shorts related video link is set in the YouTube app or Studio, and the YouTube Data API v3 does not expose it. The videos.insert / videos.update video resource only carries snippet.title, snippet.description, snippet.tags, snippet.categoryId and status fields, with no related-video property anywhere (cards and end screens are Studio-only for the same reason). Your instinct that no scheduler offers it is right, and the reason is that gap on Google's side rather than a lack of will.

    The nearest thing you can automate today is putting the long-form video's URL in the Short's description, or using platformSpecificData.youtube.firstComment so the link lands as a comment the moment the Short publishes. If YouTube ever exposes the related video field in the Data API, we will wire it up.
