TikTok: pixel conversions are missing from `actions`, while `actionValues` returns TikTok data that the schema says is Meta-only

Summary

Two things disagree with the documented AdMetrics schema for TikTok.

  1. actions does not contain any pixel conversion types, only the paid-engagement family.

  2. actionValues returns TikTok data, although it is documented as Meta-only.

Together these leave no way to break a TikTok campaign's conversions down by event.

Reproduction

GET /v1/ads/campaigns/1869603293308258/analytics ?accountId=6aba06dcb53728af48fa0de6&fromDate=2026-09-01&toDate=2026-09-30

Response (analytics.summary):

conversions 2,739 actions { "post_reaction": 7027, "share": 94, "follow": 188, "comment": 140 } actionValues { "initiate_checkout": 1325766682 } funnel all 13 fields = 0

What the schema says

AdMetrics.actions: "TikTok: pixel conversions (purchase, add_to_cart, initiate_checkout, view_content, complete_payment, lead) plus the paid-engagement family (follow, post_reaction for paid likes, comment, share)." -> Only the paid-engagement family actually arrives. None of the six pixel events do.

AdMetrics.actionValues: "Meta-only; other platforms return {}." -> TikTok returns { initiate_checkout: ... } with a non-zero amount.

AdFunnelCounts: "Populated for Meta ads; other platforms report a different action taxonomy and generally leave these at 0 (read actions for those)." -> funnel is all zeros as documented, but the documented fallback (actions) carries no conversion events, so there is no path left.

Why it matters to us

The campaign optimises for promotedObject.customEventType = "SHOPPING" and reports 2,739 conversions, but we cannot tell what those conversions are made of, and we cannot build a conversion funnel for TikTok at all. We also cannot use the initiate_checkout amount, because there is no matching event count to pair it with.

Questions

  1. Should actions carry TikTok pixel conversions? If yes, is this a sync gap?

  2. Is the actionValues value for TikTok intentional? If so, which attribution window and which event does it represent, and is a matching count available anywhere?

Fixed and re-synced for campaign 1869603293308258. The cause: we were requesting TikTok's website event metrics under names TikTok does not accept, so it rejected them and no pixel event count was ever stored. The only one that got through was total_initiate_checkout_value, which is why initiate_checkout showed up in actionValues without a matching count.

TikTok actions now carry the pixel events next to the paid-engagement family: view_content, add_to_cart, initiate_checkout, complete_payment (website purchases) and lead (website form plus instant form), and actionValues carries the matching values (it is no longer Meta-only). purchaseValue and roas now include website purchase revenue, and funnel fills contentViews, cartAdds, checkoutsInitiated, purchases and leads for TikTok. Values use TikTok's default attribution, the same as Ads Manager.

Sep 1 to 30 for that campaign now returns: view_content 29,935, add_to_cart 16,889, initiate_checkout 7,388, complete_payment 1,027, purchase value 72,213,333 KRW. conversions stays TikTok's optimisation result for the ad group (SHOPPING, 1,311), so it can differ a little from complete_payment, same as the Results vs Complete payment columns in Ads Manager. Other TikTok accounts get these fields on new syncs; older days fill in on the next 90-day pass.
