Pinterest Video Pin Cover Image

Feature Request

Would be nice to set a custom thumbnail for Pinterest video pins.

Why:

  • Video pins get lost in the feed without a good cover

  • Same thumbnails I use elsewhere would work great here

Suggested API Parameter:

json

{  "platforms": [{  "platform": "pinterest",  "platformSpecificData": {  "cover_url": "https://example.com/thumbnail.jpg"  }  }] }

Or via pinterestSettings:

json

{  "pinterestSettings": {  "cover_url": "https://example.com/thumbnail.jpg"  } }

    Good news, this is already supported!

    When creating a Pinterest video pin, set pinterestSettings.coverImageUrl (also accepted as platformSpecificData.cover_image_url / thumbnailUrl) to your thumbnail URL. If no cover URL is given, you can set coverImageKeyFrameTime to auto-extract a frame at N seconds as the cover.

    Details here: docs.zernio.com/platforms/pinterest. Thanks for the request!
