Inbox: Message "Deleted" / "Edited" endpoint & webhook
Hello!
I'm proposing to implement what are probably the MOST IMPORTANT features for Inbox. Specifically, tracking edited and deleted messages on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and so on.
The problem is that my clients delete/edit messages in their Inbox; this is standard behavior for anyone in a conversation. And the context of the conversation becomes unclear. Many clients are deceived, messages are deleted, and other unpleasant situations arise when you can't see the actual conversation.
These endpoints (webhooks and APIs) support Meta, Telegram, and other social networks.
Proofs:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-platform/webhooks/examples#message-edit
And so on.
I wrote to support about this feature a month ago, and they told me they were working on it. However, I believe it wasn't a support agent who responded, but an AI. I haven't received any notifications.
This feature IS a BASELINE for messaging, and it needs to be added urgently. Without it, messaging becomes opaque.
We want to start using your service on an unlimited plan, but only when this feature is available.
Thank you!

I agree, it's a very important feature.
Currently, the inbox only shows the first version of messages, and there's often a lot of confusion about the current version of messages. 👍

Hey, this shipped today.
Incoming edits/unsends:
message.edited: Instagram, Messenger, Telegram
message.deleted: Instagram (unsend), WhatsApp (business-side delete)
Delivery status on outgoing:
message.delivered: Messenger, WhatsApp
message.read: Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp
message.failed: WhatsApp (platform error code in payload)
Full matrix + payload schemas: https://docs.zernio.com/webhooks
Every edit's prior versions are retained in editHistory[]. Deleted messages keep their original text and attachments in the API response (the dashboard UI hides them), so you can audit pre-delete content.
Platform limits we can't work around:
TikTok, LinkedIn: no DM API at all
WhatsApp incoming edits / recipient unsends: not exposed by Cloud API
Telegram deletes + read receipts: not in the Bot API
Turn it on in Settings → Webhooks (new events default off so no surprise traffic).

Wow! You're incredibly efficient.
Regarding the Telegram Bot API: this functionality in Telegram Business is specifically for the Bot API.

deleted_business_messages
etc. update events

And what about X (Twitter)?

We don't support the Business connection flow yet for Telegram.
For X: DMs can't be edited (no such feature on X). DM deletes were only on the deprecated Enterprise Account Activity API, not available anymore.

Got it. When will there be an API for LinkedIn DM? And TikTok.

The official APIs for these platforms are not open, so currently we’re limited by that

But I see that services like ChatPlace support this (DM) for TikTok.

We are already on the process of gaining access to this feature. But, it’s a long wait as TikTok requires a lot of information.

Hello
I set up WhatsApp with you, and there is one problem. When a message is changed or deleted, I receive a webhook from you in this format:
{"id": "13048707-f4dc-48dc-a7f1-5b713b6baf26","event": "message.received","message": {"id": "6a7715b0d0fe733d1a3bb046","conversationId": "6a303953946525798a64e1a1","platform": "whatsapp","platformMessageId": "wamid.HBgLNzkyNjY5MjE4ODQVAgASGBQzQTZDQjUxMjBFOUNFRDdGRUNCOAA=","direction": "incoming","text": null,"attachments": [],"sender": {"id": "1...","name": "A","phoneNumber": "+1...","businessScopedUserId": "US.1110203128851342","contactId": "6a303955946525798a64e2d5"},"sentAt": "2026-08-08T11:40:31.000Z","isRead": false},"conversation": {"id": "6a303953946525798a64e1a1","platformConversationId": "1...","participantId": "1...","participantName": "A","participantUsername": "+1...","status": "active","contactId": "6a303955946525798a64e2d5"},"account": {"id": "6a3039475f7d1751abc2e8bf","platform": "whatsapp","username": "+1...","displayName": "Name","profileId": "69de54ed2c64f3812426e1cb","accountId": "6a3039475f7d1751abc2e8bf"},"timestamp": "2026-08-08T11:40:32.176Z"}This applies to both modification and deletion. This means that both WhatsApp and you are capturing the event itself, but you are passing the parameters incorrectly (without the specific event and text).
