Bluesky Language Selector

Feature Request

It would be great to be able to choose the language when posting. I used Fedica for Bluesky, and it had a language selector (the screenshots).

This feature helped me to run multilingual account and reach out to the right people who want to follow content in a specific language :)

    The language field itself now works, this shipped on 17 August 2026. Set platformSpecificData.langs on the Bluesky entry when creating a post (1 to 3 BCP-47 codes, for example ["pt", "en-US"]) and it lands on the app.bsky.feed.post record's langs field, which is what Bluesky feed generators filter on when they build language-specific feeds. If an account always posts in the same language you can set it once with PATCH /v1/accounts/{accountId}/bluesky-settings (defaultLangs), and a per-post langs always overrides that default.

    What is still missing is the selector in the dashboard composer, so today this is API and per-account default only, and we are keeping this open for the UI. One Bluesky constraint to be aware of: there is no post edit API, so posts already published cannot be retagged.
