AppSumo Legacy Tier 2: Inbox add-on pricing feels unfair when only using 1 WhatsApp account

I’m an AppSumo Lifetime Deal Tier 2 (Accelerate) customer from when the product was still called Late. I bought the deal at the time to support the project, and I also purchased the full Analytics add-on.

After the May 2026 pricing changes, I understood that everything was being simplified. However, after speaking with support, I was told that AppSumo legacy deals do not migrate to the new usage-based model, and we keep the old add-on structure.

The specific issue is this:

• To enable Inbox (required for proper two-way WhatsApp usage), Tier 2 users are charged a flat $50/month.

• My friend with Tier 1 pays $10/month for the same add-on.

• This charge is flat per tier, not per account. So even if I only want to use 1 single WhatsApp account, I still have to pay the full $50.

This feels unfair for a few reasons:

1. As an early AppSumo customer, I already paid upfront to support the tool’s growth.

2. $50/month is quite expensive if I only need Inbox for one WhatsApp line.

3. The new “everything included” model doesn’t apply to AppSumo legacy customers, which creates two different experiences.

Suggestion / Idea:

It would be much fairer and more aligned with the new pay-per-account model if add-ons like Inbox (and possibly Analytics) were charged per connected account instead of a high flat fee based on the AppSumo tier.

For example: $1 or $2 per account per month that actually uses Inbox.

This way, someone who only needs 1 WhatsApp account would pay very little, while users managing many accounts would pay proportionally. I believe this would be a better and more scalable approach for legacy AppSumo customers.

Is there any possibility of reviewing the add-on pricing for AppSumo legacy users, or at least considering a more granular per-account model?
